Morello has designed and constructed a high capacity AGV for a company that manufactures large electric motors.

This is an automatic cart suitable for moving loads up to 40 tons!

This high capacity AGV uses colored guide tape tracking technology for its automatic navigation. This AGV, using sensors mounted onboard, can follow in completely automatic fashion a course defined by colored tape (adhesive or painted tape), both straight and curved.

The benefit of this AGV technology is that it allows for maximum flexibility making it possible to change the course of the AGV cart at any time, without need of any hardware or software modification on the cart or in the plant.

This high capacity AGV is also equipped with a skid positioned under the cart itself that allows it to recharge the battery automatically without cables or plugs. To start recharging all that is necessary is to position the cart (through AGV guidance) over the corresponding skid on the ground.

Our special high capacity AGV is bidirectional and can steer in extremely tight spaces since it steers with both axle lines.

When needed, this cart can also be used in manual mode using a switch on the radio control or on the control panel.

Morello has engineered and manufactured a die transfer cart specifically designed for transporting automotive dies weighing up to 50 tons.

Onboard control stations for maximum safety

This cart reaches a top speed of 6 km/h, allowing the operator to control it directly from onboard driving stations. To ensure optimal visibility and safety during operation, even in reverse, there are 4 interlocked control stations positioned around the vehicle.

Each station is equipped with:

  • A steering wheel
  • A joystick for speed control
  • An LED display showing wheel orientation
  • An emergency stop button
  • A dead man’s pedal for added safety

Durable design, maneuverability, and safety features

The cart’s loading bed features hardwood boards to protect the die surfaces from damage during transport.

Designed with two fully steerable axle lines, the 50-ton transfer cart offers a minimized turning radius, enabling maneuverability even in tight spaces.

Powered by high-capacity batteries, the cart delivers up to 8 hours of continuous operation. It is also equipped with hydraulic brakes to ensure quick and safe stopping, even under full load and at maximum speed.

For added workplace safety, the die transfer cart includes 2 flashing warning lights and 2 forward-facing blue spotlights that project visible light beams several meters ahead, alerting nearby personnel of its approach.

Like all Morello’s machines, this die transfer cart can be fully customized to meet specific operational requirements.

Morello has designed and constructed an omnidirectional battery powered cart for transporting maintenance tools on an offshore platform.

This omnidirectional battery powered cart is specifically designed to work on an offshore platform:

– It is completely waterproof with IP66 protection of all electric components

– The control panel, switch boxes, screws, nuts and cable fittings are in SS316L stainless steel

– The painting cycle is C5-M certified and has been reviewed by a NACE inspector

– It has an extremely compact design

– It can travel in all directions (lateral movements, diagonal, compass, carousel, etc.) in order to be able to move easily in the tight spaces of the offshore platform

The omnidirectional battery powered cart  is equipped with a special hand truck that allows changing the battery even when no crane or gantry is available.

The loading bed of the omnidirectional battery powered cart is covered in plywood suitable for the marine environment.

Battery powered die cart – 15 ton

Battery powered die cart – 15 ton

Morello has designed and built a battery powered die cart for the transport of automotive dies of up to 15 tons.
Thanks to its 4 hydraulic cylinders, the cart can lift a steel structure with a die on it and transport it where it’s needed, avoiding the use of cranes and gantries.
This die cart is therefore very flexible since it can move freely around the plant, both indoors and outdoors.
When the hydraulic cylinders are fully lowered, the loading bed is completely flat, and the die cart can be used to transport any other type of heavy load.
The cart is equipped with anti-marking wheels to avoid marking the floor.
This die cart is powered by a battery and traction is by 2 AC motors.
Dimensions, possible superstructure, speed and many other features can be customized on customer request.
